  1. 1. Install the APK

Open the download on your Android phone. If Android asks, allow this browser to install apps. This is a development-signed test build, not a Google Play release.

  2. 2. Review the pilot route

Open Driving GPS while online and refresh the route list. The original route is Zaragoza into El Paso via Av. Ejército Nacional; additional owner-published driving routes appear here. Choose the approach and lane you actually use, then start at the back of the queue and allow precise location. Only operate controls while safely parked or with a passenger’s help.

  3. 3. Check and send your recording

A crossing keeps the route version it started with and can continue with the screen off or without internet. Saved route definitions expire after seven days for new starts. After the exit, reopen Puente and choose Send recording when online. Compare its duration with your actual crossing. GPS behavior, boundaries and battery use still need field tests.

Walking and students

Choose Walking to see only pedestrian reports. Student mode is separate and never substitutes general or vehicle waits. Student-lane hours and availability are not confirmed. The walking timer is manual and private to this device, with no GPS or uploads. Automatic GPS recording remains driving-only.

Only checked trip measurements are retained on the server. Public pilot durations require at least 5 contributing installations and are separate from official CBP waits.
